Museums

Mexico City Museums are a big part of what's made Mexico City into the Cultural Capital of the Americas. There's an ongoing discussion on the visual life of the city, the ancient past, and more recent history. There's also an important role for Museum preserving and representing just about everything. In fact, as Mexico City's history is being written, even today, you'll be a part of it.

Mexico City is today second only to London in the sheer number of museums.

There are enormous and world famous institutions, and smaller quirky independent outfits dedicated to a particular passion. There are some that will take all day to really explore. Then there are museums that will let you experience a tremendous amount during an hour.

There's a lot going on, and always things changing. In the midst of it all, Mexico City's museum add a sense of permanence and stability. Along with the many cultural centers and art galleries, there's a lot to see and do. Let's get started.
