Metro Line B

Metro Line B extends from just west of Mexico City's Historic Center, across the top to the north and east. The final stop is in the ancient city of Ecatepec, in Mexico State. It's today the most populous municipality in the country. The people living there, possibly the majority of riders on Line B, are chilangos and essential to the life and character of Mexico City.

The line includes 21 stations and travels some 20.25 kms. Stations are underground, at street level, and many in the middle are elevated. Only this one and Line 12 have all three levels of stations.

Line B was constructed during the 1990s and entirely finished in 2000. It's operated with very few interruptions over the subsequent 23 years.
