Alfonsina Chapel

Open - Limited Services / Capacity

Alfonsina Chapel is known to be the legacy and the house of the writer Alfonso Reyes.

The name Alfonsina Chapel comes from the Spaniard, Enrique Díez-Canedo, a friend of Reyes, who began calling it that because of all the gatherings and cultural events that were brewing. In 1973 the Chapel passed to the INBA as national heritage.

Today it is a museum and center of literary studies. Free guided tours, literary workshops, presentation of books and magazines, conferences and much more are offered. Obviously it features a library based on literature, history and art, with a notable collection of Alfonso Reyes.
