Mercado Azcapotzalco

Open - Limited Services / Capacity

The Mercado Azcapotzalco is the center of the Center of Azcapotzalco. It’s a teeming hub of commerce, and one of the easiest places to eat in the area. It’s not just loaded with friendly locals but with the freshest food too.

The original market here, the Mercado Siglo XX, opened just a block away in 1901. When that facility was outgrown, the Azcapotzalco authorities called upon renowned architect

It’s an increasingly important place for international visitors. As the freshest place to eat, you’re getting better food. You’re also supporting local and independent small businesses – and even farmers. Some of them are not too far off.

The Mercado Azcapotzalco is also, as mentioned, central. Thus the entire Center of Azcapotzalco is within easy walking distance.  Most visitors will end up in the Parque Azcapotzalco, just north of the market. The better part of the Centro of Azcapotzalco is actually to the south of the Market. That includes Metro Camarones.
