Centro Cultural mexico contemporaneo

The Centro Cultural del México Contemporáneo, (CCMC) the Cultural Center of Contemporary Mexico is an organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging:

  • Artistic and cultural expression in Mexican society,
  • Participation in and dissemination of culture within the reach of the community as:
    • dance, music, performing arts, cinema, art exhibitions, and through other means.

It’s a space for the promotion and development of cultural activities focused on complementing the training of the young people and adults most interested in these issues.

The CCMC’s stated mission is to disseminate and promote cultural events, to promote human development and improve the quality of life of the community. The CCMC also works toward providing a model for cultural development management, cooperation, and coordination of artistic, regional, national and international production projects.

The physical location of the Centro Cultural del México Contemporáneo, just north of the Plaza de Santo Domingo, means that visitors to one of the organization’s events, exhibitions, or seminars also are in for a treat. The area’s historical and architectural value is keenly evident in every stone.

Exhibitions are generally open Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
