Metro Revolución is on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro. It’s of key importance for reaching the Monument to the Mexican Revolution, which is a quick walk directly south. The station logo depicts this very stoic monument.
The station is a first stop for residents in both the Tabacalera and Buenavista neighborhoods. Entrances are on both sides of the Calzada de Mexico-Tenochtitlan (the former Puente de Alvarado), this section of the Calzada Mexico-Tacuba. It’s a fairly prominent stop.
In addition to the Monumento de la Revolución , international visitors often use this stop to visit:
In 2018, more than 10 million passengers traversed this station. A walk to the Plaza de la República, the Monument and Museum, and the Tabacalera neighborhood is always richly rewarded. Tabacalera is a collection of mostly broad streets, and interesting early 20th-century architecture, and to boot, a short distance to picturesque Paseo de la Reforma, a favorite among tourists.
