“México de hoy” de Rufino Tamayo

Open - Limited Services / Capacity

This is one of the murals by Tamayo belonging to the permanent collection of the Palacio de Bellas Artes.

Tamayo believed that the development of a people could only come through science, art and technology and noted this on the walls and columns of Bellas Artes, which through three sections of green, white and red hues, shows European and pre-Hispanic architectural details that frame a character in flames, suggesting the spirit of Mexico.
