Tacuba Parish Church

Open - Limited Services / Capacity

Also known as San Gabriel Arcángel Parish Church, it was built by the Franciscan order. Several changes have been made over time: its floor was renovated in the 18th century, in the 20th century extensions were added, the walls were opened, arches were covered and the dimensions of the court were changed. In the 1960s, an apostolic altar was constructed with the Eternal Father, and in its centre a crucified Christ and an atrial wall were placed. Later, in the north-eastern part, a bust was placed in honor of Placido Domingo for his part in the rescue work after the 1985 earthquake.
